I am Wessel Ollewagen, a photographer and visual artist based in South Africa.

My early photography and adventure projects focused on landscape and time-lapse work, which continue to shape my approach and editing style today.

In recent times, I haven’t travelled as much, instead dedicating time to learning, rebuilding, and refining my creative process. While my travel, adventure, and photography output has decreased, the aspiration to return to that work has remained central.

Alongside personal projects, I also work on commercial product photography and image editing, applying the same attention to craft and process.

This website is a key part of that rebuilding. Here, I share past and present projects, document my creative process, and outline plans — including a return to the outdoors, renewed adventure and travel, and building a sustainable creative life rooted in honest work and process.
